The Commercial Section of the Danish Embassy in Belgrade is looking for:

Commercial Advisor

You will be responsible for running the commercial section of the Embassy and be part of the global team within the Danish Trade Council. The team in Belgrade consists of one commercial advisor and one intern. The Trade Council is an integrated part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. As a Commercial Advisor, your main task is to assist Danish companies in developing their business in Serbia, Bosnia & Hercegovina and Montenegro.

You are expected to identify market opportunities and present these to Danish companies. You will work directly with the Danish companies assisting them in tasks such as export and sales development, identification of business partners, market analyses, and public affairs and other activities and events to promote them on these markets. You will work independently as well as in teams with other colleagues of the Embassy and with colleagues in Central Europe and the Balkans. You will also be given a large international network of colleagues located around the world. You can look forward to an exiting international environment where you have the freedom to work business oriented and where your clients are in focus, every day.

As a commercial advisor there are clear performance targets as well as individual financial targets. Services provided by the commercial department are given in accordance with the regulations regarding payment for services by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Travels to Denmark and in the region will be part of the tasks.

To qualify for the position we see that you fulfil the following requirements:
– You have university degree preferably within Business and Economics and/or technology.
– You have 2-5 years experiences within international trade and business.
– You have experience within business development and sales of products and services.
– You have knowledge of the Danish business environment and extensive knowledge of business conditions in the three markets.
– You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Serbian and Danish is an advantage.
– It is an advantage if you have knowledge and experience within relevant business sectors and with governmental and public affairs.
We expect you to be pro-active, analytical and result oriented. You work efficiently, independently but are willing to collaborate intensively with your colleagues. You are structured and have the ability to prioritise.
