Comment about the organization: DEJAVATO was established in 15th June 2005 as an international organization which concerns on internation voluntary service movement. DEJAVATO organizes both hosting and sending volunteers through Short, Mid and Long Term program for individual and group. Besides we also have IYVS and Dejavato cares program. We are member of CCIVS UNESCO, NVDA Asia Pacific and ICYE Federation.

Description of partner/organization: Currently the conflict between elephants and human are rising because they have less area to live. Elephants are being squeezed into smaller area, since the local farmer plant the crops and elephants like to destroy and eat them. As a result, the elephants frequently raid and destroy the crops which will cause a conflict between human and elephant. Due to this reason, local government and organization which concerns about the wild life are working together to save or conserve the elephants and reduce the conflict..
Description of work: Planting mangrove and other trees in beach, sharing about environment education to local people and children, conducting school visits and universities for environment education, running a green campaign in city centre, and managing the mangrove fruits to be snacks or foods and promoting it.
Description of food and accommodation: Coastal area of Pekalongan city, Central Java Indonesia
Description of location and leisure: It is a very hot and less hygiene condition of poor coastal area, be ready with sun block and sun burnt.
Description of requirements: As the participants will stay and live in the area of PKG and BTNWK, then everybody should be open minded, understand and accept the way of local mahout in taking care of the elephants and MUST follow all the project regulations without any exceptions. Volunteer is recommended NOT to buy flight ticket at least 2 months before the project start, to avoid the cancellation of the project due to lack of participant, please contact and confirm again to the organization for last update information. The project will be run ONLY if the minimum participants are 4 people.
