Description of work: Volunteers participating in these two workcamps will host children, teenagers and young people with mental and physical disabilities (10-29 years old) from Monday to Friday from 8:00H to 14:00H and hold a fun and divert daily schedule.
Food and accomodation: Volunteers will be accommodated in the school for children and young people with disabilities in Elefsina.The accommodation is basic but adequate; volunteers will sleep on the floor in the classrooms of the school. Sleeping bags and carry mats are necessary. There are toilets, showers (no hot water) and cooking facilities at the school.
Location and leisure: Elefsina is a town and municipality in West Attica, Greece, with the population of 25.863. It is situated about 20 km from Athens down town. Volunteers have many places around to visit in their free time, such as the Archeological Museum and the site of Eleusis, Athens, Piraeus and the island of Salamina.
Requirements:ELIX is looking for volunteers that enjoy working with children, teenagers and young people with mental and physical disability and will support the daily activity program.
